Initially a tongue in cheek "fake jazz" combo, drawing on punk rock and no wave as much as jazz, The Lounge Lizards have since become respected for their creative and distinctive sound.

The album is generally considered by many to be the launching point of progressive rock where blues-oriented rock was mixed together with jazzy and European symphonic elements. The Who's Pete Townshend was quoted as calling the album "an uncanny masterpiece".

Delay 1968, or just Delay (as the SACD version is titled), is a compilation album of early outtakes of Can's work with singer Malcolm Mooney, including some of the band's earliest material. It contains the song "Thief", which was later covered live by Radiohead.[1]
Holger Czukay has said that Delay 1968 was originally intended to be the band's first album and would have been titled Prepared To Meet Thy PNOOM, although no record company was willing to release it so they attempted to make a somewhat more accessible album, which became their debut Monster Movie[2].

The title track is intended to capture the feeling of driving on the Autobahn; from the high-speed concentration of the fast lane, to the tuning of the car radio, to the monotony of a long trip. Autobahn is also the first of Kraftwerk’s concept albums of sorts, which they have done up to 2003.

Description: Another gem of contemporary music, by Menton J. Matthews III (a classical trained musician from Chicago). The albums starts with a sound that reminded me of "Requiem For A Dream" OST. A journey into the depth of your soul, a mix of electronic and lo-fi (cello, viola, violin, piano, guitar, bass), accompanied by hi-class vocals. Saltillo brings trip-hop to the highest level. Downtempo pieces like "Giving In" with Sarah Matthews (amazing vocalist by the way) along with more intense tunes like "Simple Test" and eastern dreamy kind of vocals in "Grafting" will leave you wanting more.
