Artist
: Can
Album: Soundtracks
Year: 1970
Description: Soundtracks is a soundtrack album by the Krautrock group Can. It was first released in 1970 and consists of tracks written for various films. The album marks the departure of the band's original vocalist Malcolm Mooney, who sings on two tracks, to be replaced by new member Damo Suzuki. Stylistically, the record also documents the transition from the psychedelia-inspired jams of their first recordings (i.e., "Monster Movie" and "Delay 1968") to the more meditative, electronic, and experimental mode of the studio albums that followed (such as "Tago Mago" and "Ege Bamyasi").

Artist
: Felix Da Housecat
Album: Kittenz and Thee Glitz
Year: 2001
Description: Kittenz and Thee Glitz is a 2001 album by American DJ / producer Felix da Housecat. It was released in the U.S. on Emperor Norton in 2002 after being critically acclaimed in the UK. It features the single "Silver Screen Shower Scene" and the vocals of French artist Miss Kittin. The album mixes early Eighties electronic music, of the kind released by Ze records artist Cristina, with house music. It invented the electroclash genre, and acts such as Fischerspooner and Goldfrapp have been influnced by it. Outside of that genre, the use of electronic Eighties backings on R&B hits such as Amerie's "1 Thing", shows the wider contiuning effect of this album.[citation needed]It was listed by noted music journalist Paul Morley in his book Words and Music, as one of his 100 albums to hear if you think Radiohead's Kid A is weird.

The Lounge Lizards

Artist
: The Lounge Lizards
Album: Voice of Chunk
Year: 1988
Description:The Lounge Lizards are a jazz group formed in 1978 by saxophone player John Lurie; they should not be confused with country satire group the Austin Lounge Lizards.

Initially a tongue in cheek "fake jazz" combo, drawing on punk rock and no wave as much as jazz, The Lounge Lizards have since become respected for their creative and distinctive sound.
